“I have always been interested in social work from childhood. The opportunity of volunteering was provided to me by Chhimeki Sanstha Nepal. I have lot of friends after being involved in this organization. I was able to give speeches in Chhimeki’s programs like General Assembly. After the volunteer training, my confidence was boosted. I am very thankful to Chhimeki”
I took Chhimeki Volunteer Training in the year 2005. And from that year on I started to save. After the training I was involved in making Sarbottam Pitho (SP+). For about two years I worked in the Sarbottam factory. I was also a board member for the year 2007-2009.
I took small loan from Saving Group and with that money plus my own investment I opened Krishna cold store in Thamel. I opened my shop in the year 2012.
We can take loan in small interest in Saving Group. We can also save small amount in group. There is no long process to take loan.
Instead of sitting idle at home I am able to earn a living. I am able to pay the school fees of my children. I no longer have to ask money from my husband. I can now support my husband financially. I can pay the rent of my house. I have also done life insurance with the money earned from the shop. In the shop I interact with lot of people. If I had stayed idle at home then I would be stressed. But the shop helps me to be tension free.
I am saving because we can save small amount also. After saving in group, we can also take loan from the Saving Group. The interest of the loan and saving is distributed to all the saving group members every year.
